What is Stitch?
Stitch is a web tool for knitters and crocheters making a temperature blanket: a project where each day’s temperature determines the yarn color for that day’s row. It brings daily highs, your yarn palette, and your stitching progress together. It’s a tracker; yarn, supplies, and a knitting or crochet pattern are not included.
Does Stitch find the temperatures for me?
Stitch can load daily high temperatures for your chosen location, up to 31 dates at a time. Today’s automatic high waits until the day is over. Weather can be missing or delayed; Stitch shows when a row needs weather, and you can enter a temperature yourself.
Can I use my own yarn and temperature ranges?
Yes. Choose 2–16 yarn colors, set the coldest and warmest daily highs you expect, and use Fahrenheit or Celsius. Stitch divides that range into equal bands. Choose each color and optionally name it to match your actual yarn. Temperatures beyond your range use an end color.
What if I’m already behind on my blanket?
Choose your project year and location. The Catch up view lists unfinished dates in order across months, with their temperatures and yarns when weather is available. You can record rows you’ve made and work forward at your own pace.
How do I get access after buying on Etsy?
Your Etsy purchase includes a PNG card with the Stitch link and an activation code. Open the card and follow its instructions to activate your access, then set up your blanket in Stitch.
